INTER Kenmare grabbed all three points with a hard earned 2-1 win over Sneem Santos who made a very welcome return to the KDL. Mark Randles and Robert Hobnot scored for Inter while Sneem's goal came from Jimmy O'Brien. Balloonagh FC 5 Killorglin FC 0 BALLOONAGH are a team to watch out for this season in Division 2 as they ended last season very strongly and have an excellent panel of players. Camp United 'B' 5 Mainebank FC 1 TOMMY Healy Cup Champions Camp United began the new season very brightly with a 5-1 win over Mainebank. The Mainebank scorer was Jonathan Regan. Ballymac North End 2 Classic FC 2 BALLYMAC North End and Classic FC shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
DENNY DIVISION 2B FC Valentia 1 Skelliga FC 0 THE Iveragh Peninsula Derby between neighbours F C Valentia and Skelliga FC lived up to its billing with the outcome uncertain right up to the very end.
However, Paul O'Sullivan became the hero for Valentia grabbing the goal that gave them victory.
Shane O'Connor was the man of the match for the winners. NEW kids on the block Clanmaurice and Shanakill United provided a six-goal thriller with both sides happy enough with the result. Alan Hill bagged a brace of goals for Shanakill and the other goal was an own goal. CSKA Tralee 1 Spa Road 'B' 3 A HAT-TRICK by Danny Roche gave Spa Road B a 31 win over newly formed CSKA. CSKA's debut in the KDL was encouraging and when they get a few more games under their belts they should begin to win. Their goalscorer was Eoin Daly.
