Kerry go top of inter-county group
MUNSTER UNDER-13 INTER-COUNTY LEAGUE
Kerry 1 South Tipperary 0
KERRY won their second game in-arow to go top of their group in the Munster U-13 Inter-league competition. The goal came in the 21st minute when Naill O'donoghue met a Jonathan Kissane corner with a bullet like header. Leading to the corner Cian Gammell looked to have opened the scoring, but South Tipp keeper Ryan Wagner made a brilliant save.
Kerry had most of the possession and played some very good football on Killarney Celtic's all-weather pitch, without getting the results, but were comfortable for most of the game. The Kerry defence proved well capable of snuffing out any threat that South Tipp posed with Luke Kelly going closest with a shot across the goal.
Kerry are on six points from their two games and are free in the next round before they travel to Waterford on February 19 for what could be a crunch match in the chase for a Munster Final spot.
