61 years ago, a youthful Brendan Walsh attended the founding meeting of the Glenflesk club. A quarter of a century later, Brendan lined out as goalkeeper for St Agathas Glenflesk in the 1965 O'donoghue Cup final against Dr Crokes but the chance of an O'donoghue cup medal eluded him as the Crokes took their ninth title.

ON Wednesday last February 1 the Lee Strand sponsored Kingdom Come 10-mile Road Race was launched at the An Riocht track in Castleisland. This event is scheduled for April 29 and is set to bring mass participation road running to the streets of Castleisland and its environs for the first time in many years.

TRALEE Dynamos hit for the west next Saturday when they play Galway United in the Under 19 league with the kick off at Terryland Park at 6pm.
