Wednesday March 10 2010
SEAN Lacey followed up his great win in the Tralee Earl of Desmond Lacey cup with two top placings in Co. Meath last week end. On Saturday Lacey, who lines out in the colours of the new The Edge Racing Team, which is based in Cork, was pipped on the line when runner-up to Stephen Lavery in the Lally Cup in Summerhill.
On Sunday he was in the thick of the action again in the Cycleways cup in Navan. He was third at the finish, paying for his exertions the previous day when he faded in the last 5km to come home 15 seconds after winner Adam Armstrong from Belfast.
Mike Storan of West Clare CC won the race in Broadford Co. Limerick , with JP O Connell (Lee Strand CC) as seventh in the support race for the new A4 category.
