Handy win for west Kerry lads

AFTER a relatively quiet year in the alley, the young handballers from Cumann Liathróid Laimhe na Gaeltacht in west Kerry recently featured prominently in the County Cumann na mbunscoil Finals held in the Sports Complex in Tralee.
Conn Ó Riagáin, Scoil Cheann Trá swept to victory in the boys under-11 singles competition while Ruaidhrí Ó Beaglaoich and Cathal Ó Beaglaoich of Scoil Mhaoilchéidir, took the honours in the under-11 double.
These lads will now go on to represent Kerry at Munster level in March.
Pádraig Ó Cathalláin of Scoil Mhaoilchéidir (uner-13 singles) as well as Liam Ó Bambaire and Bréanainn Ó Bruic of Scoil Mhaoilchéidir (under-13 doubles) also took home silver medals as runners up, paying testament to the dedicated work of coach Ciarán Ó Beaglaoich over the last few months.
