Equipment will be provided on the night and a lot of work has been done in the last few months with new hurling coaches coming forward and recently completing the Foundation Course. 'Fundamentals of Hurling' workshop for primary

school teachers

On Thursday March 18 there will be a 'Fundamentals of Hurling' workshop for primary school teachers in the Aura Sports and Leisure Centre, Killarney from 4 to 5.30pm. We all know how important the primary school is in the development of our young kids and it would be great if what is learned on the day could be taken back into the respective schools. This is also important for the development of hurling in the South Kerry area.

You do not need to have previous hurling experience to do this workshop. Paudie Butler, the National Director of Hurling will be running the workshop. Paudie is one of Ireland's top hurling coaches and he will bring his own unique style and teaching ability to this workshop. Anybody interested in doing the workshop is asked to contact John Griffin 087-6230605.

Causeway Comprehensive

Congratulations to the Causeway Comprehensive School on achieving All Ireland honours at the weekend in the Vocational Schools U-16 1/2 'A' hurling final against Loughrea of Galway on a score line of 2-21 to 1-12. A marvellous feat having defeated Cork, Limerick, Tipperary and Kilkenny teams before Saturday's final and achieving back to back All Ireland hurling titles for the county.

Also, best wishes to Causeway Comprehensive School as they hope to collect their second trophy this week as they meet Dromcollogher of Limerick in the Munster Senior Vocational Hurling final on in Abbeyfeale this Saturday at 1pm.
