Debutant Darragh O'Connell scored 2-4 in his first national league game and veteran John Mike Dooley scored Kerry's second goal. Despite conceding a penalty goal in the second half the men from the Kingdom went on to win well.

The team travel away again next weekend to play in Round 2. Their opponents will be Mayo in Castlebar at 2.30pm. We wish the team every success. THE Referee's Seminar's third and final In Service meeting for both Senior and Coiste Na nOg Referees will be held in the CYMS in Killorglin at 7.30pm on this coming Thursday night, February 24 for all Mid, South and West Kerry referees, plus any referee who did not attend the Tralee and Killarney sessions.
