GLENBEIGH GS On Saturday the 24th July, Jimmy O'Neill's captains prize took place in Waterville. It was a beautiful day for golf, and a great night was had at the prize presentation in Caitin's pub. 28 locals, with a number of guests, thoroughly enjoyed the day and night. First prize with a score of 36 points, after blanking the 18th, by John Houlihan. In second place, Michael D O'Sullivan, also with a score of 36 points, just pipped on the back 6. Third Fergus O'Connor. Fourth Donal Brosnan. The captain presented John Houlihan with a fantastic Waterford Crystal vase. Winner of the guest prize was Denis Mack, with 37 points, with Brendan Moriarty second. Captain Jimmy O'Neill would like to thank everyone for turning out, and Waterville Golf Links for a wonderful course. The next outing is Pat Gouldings Presidents Prize, date to be fixed.
