Deerpark couple come up short in Munster Mixed Foursomes
IT was a disappointing weekend for Deerpark's Robbie and Betty O'Brien in the Munster Mixed Foursomes in Hillview, Co Tipperary as they failed to get amongst the prizes with their score of 3 down, a total of nine shots behind the winning score of 6 up, posted by the team of Martha Harrington and Michael Ahern from the Crosshaven club in Cork.

KILLARNEY are the Munster champions of the Senior Foursomes following a nail-biting win in the final over East Cork on Friday last at Youghal, but sadly their Junior Cup Team were beaten by East Cork in their final.
O'Keeffe misses out on national title by one stroke
IT was a case of so near and yet so far for Deerpark's Kieran O'Keeffe at the National Boys U-16 Championships in Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath last Saturday as he agonisingly missed out on claiming a title, last won by a player from the county in 1992, with his 36 hole total of 15 under par just one shot off the winning score at the finish.
