AFL agent Ricky Nixon has claimed that Tommy Walsh's move to St Kilda will open the floodgates for Irish players making the move Down Under. "Tommy Walsh coming. I have not had a kid who has turned me down since Tommy came out. Whether you see that as significant or not, I don't know. I do.

"It has probably opened the floodgates for players," Nixon revealed.

Nixon was present for last weekend's Sigerson Cup and Trench Cup finals where he would have seen Kerry players Shane Enright, Adrian Greaney, Johnny Buckley (who excelled at midfield), Daithí Casey and Peter Crowley for defeated Sigerson finalists UCC, as well as Cillian Moran, Shane Brosnan, Gary O'Driscoll, Brendan Poff, Paul O'Donoghue, Alan O'Donoghue, Sean Courtney, Paddy Curtin, Shane Hennessy, Michael Brennan and Alan Looney.

Nixon will hold another training camp to scout for potential AFL recruits in the summer, whether any of the Kerry players he would have seen at the weekend are selected in his 25 man panel remains to be seen.
