THREE Kerry clubs will be flying the green and gold flag at the All-Ireland Scór na nÓg finals later this month after taking honours at he Munster finals in Cork at the weekend,

Glenflesk, Causeway and Na Gaeil GAA clubs all came through the tough competition, which was held in Mallow Youth Centre on Sunday afternoon.

With clubs from all over the province taking part in the event, competition was fierce, but Kerry was in the enviable position of having representatives in all eight categories. At the end of the day's proceedings, however, Glenflesk took honours in the figure dancing category, Na Gaeil won the Ballad group section, while Brian Murphy, representing Causeway GAA, topped the recitation category.

Ballylongford, Brosna and Glenflesk represented their clubs brilliantly in the solo singing, instrumental music and question time categories, but unfortunately only took second spot, missing out on an All-Ireland place.

The three Kerry teams who did make it though Sunday's heat will now represent Kerry in the national Scór na nÓg finals which are due to be held in the John McCormack Hall, Athlone IT on Saturday, February 20.
