President elect visits South Kerry
A VERY successful meeting took place in The Ring of Kerry Hotel in Cahirciveen on last Thursday dealing with rural depopulation and the hemorrhaging of players to emigration, which was attended by Liam O'neill, the President elect of the GAA, Sean Walsh chairman of the Munster Council, County Committee chairman Patrick O'sullivan along with other officers of the County Board.
All clubs in the District as well as Tousist and Templenoe were represented. It got great coverage from both the print and broadcast media with articles on the RTE news and national papers. The President elect is aware of the problem and he gave a commitment to help in providing leadership in trying to resolve the problem.
Scór na nóg
WELL done to the Renard set dancers in competing at the Munster Finals at Cappoquin last Sunday, they can be very proud of their achievement and hopefully will have better luck next year.
