Last gasp O'neill seals it for Tralee
West Munster League has now moved into the second phase of games and on Saturday morning Tralee hosted Killarney in the first round of fixtures.

Both teams settled into the game well and strong defence kept scoring chances to a minimum. On one occasion a well worked move by the Tralee forwards saw the hard working Darragh Ryan cross the line only to be held up. Though Tralee tried to work the ball through the backs on several occasions they achieved no success as a well drilled Killarney defence stood firm and the first half finished scoreless.
The Tralee forwards played with more intensity in the second half but still the Killarney defence held out. With only minutes to go Tralee were camped on the edge of the Killarney 22 and through a number of phases moved the ball the width of the field and finally Kieran Regan managed to break the gain line and get the ball inside to Ben O'neill who managed to score with only minutes left on the clock.
Any excellent conversion from the side line by Rory Hill and Tralee led 7-0. Killarney tried hard to comeback in the last few minutes, but Tralee held out for the win. In what was a well contested game both teams should be praised not only for their commitment and attitude but also their discipline which was exemplary.
