EVERY year since his breakthrough year in 2006 much is expected of Kieran Donaghy and 2012 will be no different. The game has changed appreciably since the Stacks man reinvented the full forward role in the summer of 2006, , and Donaghy's role within the Kerry team has altered accordingly.
Defences and full backs have cottoned on to the tactic of the aerial bombardment but even last year Donaghy was adding new strings to his bow. He has flirted with midfield on occasion but has been playing at wing forward in preseason challenge games in January. Last year he took a good while to get the best out of himself but his ultra competitive nature is sure to see Donaghy challenge himself to even greater heights this year and we should see a different, more
focused Donaghy in 2012.
