Kennedy's Kingdom set for Under 21 bow

Wednesday March 10 2010

KERRY will play Cork in the first round of the Cadbury Munster U-21 Football Championship at 2pm on Saturday next, March 13 at Austin Stack Park Tralee.

The Cork team defeated Kerry last year in the first round and went on to win the All Ireland Final. Kerry hold 25 Munster U-21 titles and Cork hold 21.Therefore the game on Sunday is of vital importance to both teams and like all Kerry v Cork clashes it will be a thriller and a great game.

The U-21 Championship has a short time scale. Its knock-out and even if the team goes to the All Ireland Final the playing period is over six weeks from 13th March to the 1st May. All the hard work and training has been done by now.

John Kennedy and his team have put a lot of preparation into this and have played some good challenge games. We wish them every success on Saturday and would ask as many people as possible to come out and support the team. A good vocal home crowd would be great support to the team. Ciarraí Abú.
