Ballyduff hosts Munster Council Grant presentations

BALLYDUFF GAA Club hosted the Munster Council Grant presentation on Monday night last. Thirtyfour Kerry clubs shared € 330,000 in grant aid from The Provincial Council. All the clubs involved had done a lot of development work in their grounds in 2009 and reaped the benefit of a grant.
The criteria for the grants are strict and all clubs now produce impeccable applications fulfilling all the requirements laid down by the Council.
Jerome Conway and Sean Walsh in their address to the clubs said that the clubs were benefiting directly from the gates of the Munster Council championship.
The vice chairman of the Munster Council said that each year this money is ring fenced for clubs and it is the intension of the council to do so for the next number of years.
Both speakers stressed the importance of the Munster Championship competitions to the clubs, counties and province. Ger Galvin the County Development Officer thanked the Ballyduff club for hosting the presentation and he praised all the clubs present for their high standard of work that resulted in much improvement to club properties in the county.
