Survey says Kerry is good value for wedding day
KERRY couples planning their big day will be glad to hear that the Kingdom is one of the country's cheapest counties in which to get married.
According to a new survey by Weddingface.com, Kerry comes ninth in a list of 26 counties when it comes to getting value for money for that special day. According to the report, the average cost of a wedding in Kerry now stands at €20,980 — €1,300 cheaper than the most expensive county, Wicklow. The cheapest county surveyed was Louth, with weddings costing an average of €19,820 — the only county in Ireland coming in under €20,000.
The study from Weddingface.com also shows that the cheapest month to get married in is January, costing on average €19,780 but couples getting married in June pay nearly €2,500 more on average.
Overall the average cost of a wedding in Ireland is €21,135, a €1,000 increase on last year.
