Seminars on dyslexia in Tralee

THE Education Centre at Dromthacker, Tralee, is to hold four weekly seminars on dyslexia during the month of March.
The seminars are aimed at parents of children with dyslexia at primary, post-primary and third level and the final night will focus on support and networking services, that are currently established under the auspices of the North Kerry Dyslexia Centre, with Mary Collins presenting the vital information.
Rosaleen Durkin, a teacher and clinical practitioner, will guide parents through preparing and supporting children with dyslexia in primary school. James Kenny, guidance counsellor and teacher, will guide parents through the post-primary phase. Siobhán MacGarry will give a talk on preparing and supporting your child through third level education.
This course is being offered as a result of unprecedented demand from parents therefore making it advisable to book early. The fee charged will be €15 per night or €50 for the four nights.
