Rubbish 'drawing rodents'

RUBBISH piling up along in Listowel's Mart Yard is drawing rats, a town councillor warned at Monday's meeting.
Cllr Jimmy Moloney said that a 'large amount of rubbish' has now built up along the back wall of the Mart Yard, near the rear entrance to public houses, and is drawing 'rodents'.
Mayor Tom Walsh, said that as the property is private the council have no direct authority but would contact the owners, Listowel's Livestock Mart Company. "We've spoken to them about it in the past and we will contact them again," he said.
