Projects need your votes

A TOTAL of 24 community projects around Kerry are competing for public support in the hope of securing a share of €80,000 in grant aid from AIB.
As part of the bank's Better Ireland Programme 2009 /2010, members of the public are being asked to vote for their favourite from three shortlisted projects in their areas, after which the project with the highest votes will receive €5,000. The group that finishes in second place will get €3,000, while the third placed project will receive €2,000.
The following projects will compete for the cash in each AIB branch area:
AIB Cahersiveen — Brothers of Charity Early Intervention Service, Cracow Park and Valentia Community Playground, Coiste Forbartha na Sceilge
AIB Castleisland — Muire Gan Smal Childcare, Fires Community Childcare Centre Ltd, Castleisland Family Resource Centre (St. Vincent de Paul)
AIB Dingle — Bunscoil an Chlochair, AnnÓg (Amharclann na nÓg) Corca Dhuibhne, Aiseanna na hÓige Teo
AIB Kenmare — KDYS Drop In Centre Kenmare, Kilgarvan Community Childcare (Little Acorns), St Clare's National School Kenmare Homework Club
AIB Killarney — St Oliver's Primary School, Down Syndrome Ireland, Killarney Drop In‚ and Youth Forum.
AIB Killorglin — Killorglin Family Resource Centre, Parents Council of St. Joseph's National School and Autism Unit, Scoil Realt na Mara Parents Association
AIB Listowel — Shannonside No Name Club, X-istance Youth Café, Kerry Diocesan Youth Services
AIB Tralee — Enable Ireland Kerry Services, DSI. Tralee Group, Kerry Autism Services
Text and online voting began on February 15, with online voters asked to click on www.betterireland.ie, select the branch and choose your project. Voting closes on March 15.
To vote by text, simply text the specific ' branch keyword' (details of the 'branch keyword' for each branch can be found on www.betterireland.ie) followed by a space, followed by A, B, or C to 51303.
