Nine per cent decrease in train fares
THERE'S some good news for business commuters this week as Iarnród Éireann have announced fares on the Dublin, Cork and Kerry lines are due to fall by 9 per cent.
While the majority of intercity fares are due to increase single fares from Heuston Dublin to Cork and Killarney will be made 9% cheaper. Customers will be offered three standard ticket types in future single, day return and open return (within 30 days of departure).
All single fares will be cheaper than day returns and all day return fares will be cheaper than open return tickets.
