Men await sentence for bookie robbery

TWO men who pleaded guilty to using imitation firearms in the robbery of Paddy Powers bookmakers in Tralee in August 2007 were due to be sentenced this Wednesday.
Eoin Slattery of 46 Corrovorrin Grove, Ennis, and Michael McMahon with an address at 3 Plunket Drive, Kilkishen, County Clare, appeared at Tralee Circuit Court on Wednesday last where sentencing was adjourned to this week.
Both pleaded guilty to the robbery of €2,665 at Paddy Powers book makers Rock Street Tralee on August 18, 2007 and with possession of an imitation firearm with the intent to commit robbery at the same location.
