Employment appeals case
Wednesday February 03 2010
OPENING arguments in a case brought by a former employee of The Kerryman who is contesting the grounds on which his employment with the company ended were heard by the Employment Appeals Tribunal at Killarney Town Hall on Tuesday.
The tribunal heard legal argument from counsel for appellant Seán O'Keeffe, a former advertising executive with The Kerryman, as well as from solicitor Kieran Kelly on behalf of The Kerryman.
Opening statements in the case were considered as part of the initial tribunal action to ascertain the exact legal status of the issue under consideration.
The hearing was adjourned to allow counsel for both sides time to deliberate before a conclusion can be reached.
