Craft website opens new online shop for Christmas
KERRY based craft promotion website Rise Creatives has opened a new online shop.
With Christmas fast approaching, Rise Creatives offers customers a one stop site to buy art, design and craft work directly from independent Irish artists and designer-makers online.
Their many award-winning sellers produce unique, one-off or small-run hand-crafted products and art work, which are perfect for gifts or to collect.
The site also features a number of award-winning artists and designer makers from Future Maker recipients, RDS National Craft Competition winners and members who have been selected for the Craft Council of Ireland's Irish Craft Portfolio.
Co-founder of Rise Creatives Hanorah Lyons said the company is very excited about the shop.
"There is something there for everyone and to suit every pocket. The site is very easy to use, the products for sale are divided into categories such as jewellery, art, ceramics, home interiors etc. With a helpful search facility and our featured products section, that exclusive gift will be easy to find and purchase," she said.
Kerry-based jewellery designer, Alison Walsh, is one of many independent makers selling their latest designs on Rise Creatives. Working from her studio at her home she specialises in classic and contemporary jewellery using semi-precious stones as well as glass and resin beads.
"The wedding market is really taking off and I custom make a lot of pieces for the bride and the bridal party. As a result of this I have started to hand make tiaras and hair pieces incorporating Swarovski crystals, Swarovski pearls and freshwater pearls," she said.
