Business briefs New faces on the board at Kerry Group
KERRY Group has unveiled a number of changes to its board of directors. The global food giant which has its headquarters in Tralee has announced that Mr Michael J Fleming retired from the Board and has been replaced as non-executive Director of the Company by Mr Michael Teahan.
Mr Teahan operates his own business in the agriculture sector and is also a Director of Kerry Cooperative Creameries.
Joan Garahy was also appointed as a nonexecutive Director of the Company. She is currently Managing Director of Clearview Investments and Pensions Ltd and is a qualified financial advisor and investment specialist.
The company has also expressed its condolences following the recent death of Kevin Kelly who had been a director of Kerry Group since 2001 and was a member of the Board Audit Committee and also chaired the Group's Remuneration and Nomination Committee.
Mr Kelly passed away on January 4, 2012 and following the death of their colleague, the Kerry Group Board of Directors has offered their sincere condolences to the Kelly family.
