Bus shelter
KENMARE will not have a bus shelter anytime soon, as Bus Éireann claim there is not sufficient demand to erect the structure.
Responding to a motion tabled by Cllr Michael Healy Rae at a recent area meeting of the Council, the roads department said it had been in contact with Bus Éireann over the issue.
"Discussions with Bus Éireann indicate that passenger numbers using their bus services would not justify the cost of erecting a bus shelter," stated a council representative.
