MEMBERS of the West Kerry Craobh an Ághasaigh group achieved some excellent results at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann which was held in Cavan last week.
In the adult singing category Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne teacher Seosamh Ó Críodáin put in an exceptional performance to win first place in the Senior Men's Irish Singing competition.
Niamh Ní Shé, from Ballyferriter, took first place in the under nine Comhrá Ghaeilge event while her sister, Caoimhe, took second place in both the under 15 singing and flute categories.
Proinmsias Ó Cathasaigh from Lispole took the silver medal in the boy's under 12 Irish singing event.
Fifteen year-old Ciara de Mordha from na Gorta Dubh took third place in the under 18 Irish singing competition while Ógie Ó Sé from Dún Chaoin took third place in the under 15 Irish singing category.
he competitors were coached by well known Irish traditional singer Áine Uí Laoithe and supported by Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne.
