JUICING to raise money were the students at Listowel Community College last month who made €600 for the Nano Nagle through a smoothie morning in December.
Organisers of the Listowel Community College fund-raiser, Donna Murphy, Helen Keane, Mary McGrath and James Halpin, were praised for their efforts by Nano Nagle Principal Bridie Murphy on presenting her with a cheque for €600 to Nano Nagle Principal, Bridie Murphy, on Friday.
Organised and run by the VTOS year two students at Listowel Community College, it saw all selling tickets around the school to other students as well as staff and then mucking in in the kitchen on smoothie day, December 11, last, juicing fruit and mixing the drinks.
"It was a great success and we're delighted with how well the students did," Community College Deputy Principal Rena Liston said. "It was carried out by VTOS year two students as part of their personal effectiveness module, which in this case developed their interpersonal skills."
