Ventry school pupils help out with day of no uniforms

PUPILS at Ventry National School have raised almost €500 to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake. The children enjoyed a no uniform day last week and were happy to pay €2 for the privilege.
They generated additional funds by taking part in a whist drive and by holding a raffle.
When The Kerryman visited the school on Friday the pupils were busily engaged in making St Brigid Crosses for the Saint's day on Monday.
