AS a footnote to the above: Michael Kenny will deliver a lecture on 'Aspects of Kerry Sculpture – A personal View' at Coláiste Phádraig (St. Patrick's Boys' Secondary School on College Road) on the coming Tuesday, December 8, at 8pm.
The lecture is being presented under the auspices of the Castleisland & District Culture and Heritage Society and is free to paid-up members.
Mr. Kenny's own work includes tribute sculptures to: Patrick O'Keeffe in Scartaglin -1983; Johnny O'Leary in Killarney - 2007 and Seán Ó Riada in Cúil Aodha – 2008.
