DARTS: Sixteen dart players participated in the weekly dart doubles in Parker's lounge on Saturday night 28th January, Phil Morris and Mike Fealy defeated Jerry Carmody and J.P Twomey in the final. The next darts doubles tournament takes place on Saturday night 4th February at 10.30 p.m. in Parkers lounge Bar. Names MUST be in for 10.15 p.m. NO Names after this Time. The Crotta players accounted for 307 of the CBS total of 4-07. GAA NEWS: JUVENILE AGM: Coiste na nóg AGM this will take place on Monday 6th February at 9pm at the clubrooms at Pairc Naoimh Eirc Kilmoyley. Anyone with an interest in continuing the great work carried out last year with our young hurlers are very welcome to attend. It is important that we give as much support to the Juvenile club as possible. If your child is interested in playing hurling with Kilmoyley please come along on the night and show your support for them. 50TH ANNUAL GAA SOCIAL: Kilmoyley hurling club 50th annual dinner dance will take place at Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Saturday the 11th February. Tickets on sale at E25. Medal presentations and special guest on the night. Buses leaving Tochar Ban at 7.30pm. Committee members will be selling tickets during the week, or if anyone wishes they may also contact any committee member for tickets. This is a great achievement for the club to be holding its 50th dinner dance and the club is looking forward to a great turnout. CHRISTY RING AWARDS – Congratulations to James Godley and the three other Kerry players namely Jason Casey, Shane Nolan and Darragh O Connell who received Christy ring 2011 Champion 15 awards at Croke Park on Saturday night. THE WATERFORD CRYSTAL CUP SENIOR HURLING – Preliminary round – The Kerry hurlers recorded their first Waterford Crystal Cup victory at Fitzgerald stadium Killarney on Sunday last with Shane Brick back in action scoring 012p. Kerry 1-20, IT Tralee 1-15. Kilmoyley were also well represented with great performances by Tom Murnane and James Godley, while John B O'halloran and Adrian Royle were subs. Former Kilmoyley hurler Christy Walsh was a selector. Best of luck to the Kerry team who now play Cork on the 5th February. DOODLE 4 GOOGLE VOTE FOR RONAN: Congratulations to Ronan Walsh second class student of Kilmoyley National School who has been named a finalist in the fourth annual Doodle 4 Google art competition. This is a great achievement as only two other students from Kerry are also finalists. Best of MACRA CLUB: Kilmoyley Macra will be hosting Shave or Dye at An Tochar Ban on April 21st in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. Any Non-kilmoyley Macra members interested in volunteering there head for the shave or dye campaign or just to lend a hand for the event are more than welcome. KERRY V DUBLIN: All roads lead to Croke Park on Saturday next for the clash of Kerry and Dublin in the opening game in the National League . After the disaster in last year's All Ireland final, Kerry will want to start team building as last years panel will not do in 2012. Local interest will be on the performance of Michael Mc Carty the 22 year old Dublin , forward whose parents are local . This game maybe coming a little early in the year for the local Walsh brothers to play on the Kerry team. BIDDY: The custom of going out in the Biddy this coming weekend is expected to be maintained by a local group. Knocknagoshel GAA: North Kerry U21 C'ship 2011: The Knock/brosna U21s drew with Castleisland Desmonds in the semi-final last Sunday 29th January 2012. The game itself was an exciting affair throughout with the teams ending level on 12 points each at the end of normal time and, after two extra-time periods of ten minutes a side, the teams still could not be separated with the final score being 16 points each. The replay has been fixed for Saturday 4th February 2012 at 3PM in Duagh. Senior Team Trainer 2012: Knocknagoshel GAA Club would like to welcome Duagh's Thomas Dillon as the senior team trainer for 2012. No doubt but that Thomas will draw on all of his experience in order to ensure that the team is in peak physical condition for the coming season.
