I CAME across a little haven of creativity and culture here recently which should bear fruit in the years ahead. Kathleen's Singing Centre does more that it says on the tin. It also caters for a wide range of musical instrumentation and engages teachers in the various disciplines.
As a singer of great ability, Kathleen puts an emphasis on choir and voice training and takes a couple of classes of pupils from after school on Fridays to 6pm.
All ages are catered for: from Kindergarten Music and Singing Classes from 12.45 to 1.45pm on Thursdays to the ultra cool 'Teen Club' – on Thursdays from 7pm to 8pm where the chart and glee songs of the minute are catered for.
"The Singing Centre provides a place to encourage students of to develop their full, creative potential through music and song. My centre creates a unique environment that will challenge, reward, respect and develop creative ideas and individuality," said proprietor, Kathleen Dollard.
"There is a wide range of lessons and course options including: groups; one-to-one private classes; childrens'-choirs voice training as well as tuition in: guitar, banjo, keyboard, pipes and whistle. Anyone from three years up who wants to learn music or singing or improve their existing abilities are more that welcome," said Kathleen.
