A GREAT night was had by all at the Nano Nagle social in the Listowel Arms on Friday night, where staff, parents and students, past and present, got the chance to let their hair down for the year's big gettogether.
The fourth annual social, it came at the end of one of the best years ever for the special needs school which serves scores of students from all over North Kerry and West Limerick. A bright new building with rooms equipped to the highest standards in modern requirements and a year of great events in the new space ensured first-rate teaching and care in the Nano Nagle all year.
And Friday night's little shindig had all the hallmarks of a group in good spirits.
Principal Bridie Murphy said it was a fairly rare opportunity for all to celebrate the school's achievements and each other's company in an informal, fun setting.
With music provided by Heart and Soul and door and spot prizes won as well, it was no wonder that all had such a great time.
