Glebe Lodge wins local charity bid
THE annual general meeting of Castleisland Horse and Pony Club was held on Friday night at Tom Mccarthy's Central Bar here in Castleisland.
The election of officers was first on the list and the following were elected: Presidents: Jim Lordon, Paddy Maher, Jimmy Kearney and Vincent Murphy.
Chairman: Charlie Farrelly. Vice chairman: Ted Kenny. Secretary: Kay Reidy. Assistant secretary: Martina O'mahony. Treasurers: Ronan Burke and John Ryan PRO., Pat Hartnett. Committee membership includes:
Mags O'sullivan Rachel O'mahony, Tom O'sullivan, James Maher, William O' Connor, Willie Reidy, John Reidy, Sean Walsh, Billy Reidy, Sarah Maher, Gina Reidy, Michael, Shane, Denis and Marc Reidy, Bernard Nolan, Martin Conway and Shane O'sullivan.
The chosen charity for this year's gate is Glebe Lodge Residential Home. Other beneficiaries include: Recovery Haven and Castleisland Senior Citizens' Christmas Party Committee.
