Results: Our Minor Team lost by 3pts in Scartaglin on Sat evening. They led at half time by two points, but they were unlucky near the end as things went against them. The team played well overall, with Denis Hayes outstanding in the backs, while Edward Kerrisk got most of the scores. The under 16 game was postponed on Saturday at the request of Fossa. Seniors: E.K. League - Firies 12pts, Rathmore 1gl.8pts. Firies had a one point win over Rathmore who were without their two inter-county players on Sunday in Rathmore. Firies had a very good first half and should possibly be ahead by 3 or 4 pts at half time. Instead Rathmore led by a point from a free, just before the whistle. Rathmore started well in the second half but the Firies defence held out. However Firies settled down and with some good long range scores by Colm O'Shea from frees, and good combinations, they went on the record an historic win over a useful Rathmore side.
