A TALK on 'Expressive Play' will be presented by Edel Lawlor, play therapist tomorrow night Thursday, March 11, at the Castleisland Family Resource Centre.
Ms. Lawlor, has over 12 years experience working with children and families, using play as a therapeutic medium. In addition to her therapeutic play work she also writes stories for children, and works as a trainer and educator.
Edel has worked extensively with children who live with domestic violence, as a childcare worker, play therapist, and most recently in a consultancy capacity with Kerry Women's Refuge. She believes that play is the safest way to interact with children who have experienced domestic violence. The talk, which is free of charge, will commence at 7.30 sharp. All welcome.
