Mr. Kirwan also expressed the gratitude of the school to St. Mary's Basketball Club and all other sporting clubs in the area who have contributed so much.
On this particular occasion he thanked Denny Porter and Maurice Casey for giving of their expertise and experience to help develop and mould the team. He also recognised the contribution of St. Brigid's club in Currow for their immense contribution to the community and teachers present and past such as: Maria Moriarty, Ciaran Fleming and Jack Nolan for their work.
