SINGER Mary Coughlan promised to return to Dingle in the spring because so many people were turned away from her gig in McCarthy's Bar on Friday night.
"It was my first time performing here and it was brilliant but they couldn't fit the people in. Some people were let in for a few songs then they had to leave and some more were let in! It was hectic but a great night and I'm planning to come back fro three nights in the spring, maybe around Easter," she told The Kerryman on Saturday in the Dingle Bookshop on Green Street where she was signing copies of her book 'Bloody Mary'.
"The book is about my life, which took lots of twists and turns over my 53 years. I got together with a friend of mine, Brian Finnegan, and we worked on the book for three hours a day over a seven week period. It's an horrific story but it resulted in a certain amount of personal redemption," she said.
