SCOR SINSEAR CHIARRAI THUAIDH. The North Kerry Senior Scor Final's will take place at the Community Centre Asdee on Saturday night last January 28th in which Ballylongford were represented by Maureen Byrne in the Solo Singing and her brother Tim in the Recitation. Maureen won this particular side of the competition with Tim in close proximity of the eventual winner Tom Breen from Asdee. A great nights entertainment was witnessed by the large attendance and full marks to Jack Hennessy who had the competition well organised along with Fear a ti Michael Flavin. Well done to all concerned. BALLYLONGFORD/ASDEE COMMUNITY GAMES: Well done to our young musicians who finished 4th in Abbeydorney on Saturday night. Being together for only a short time, to finish 4th was an excellent result. The excitement of their fans said it all when they were called in 4th place. All the hard work done by their teacher Miss O'riordan really paid off. A big thank you to Miss O'riordan. The group on the night was – Kelsey Ahern, Amy O'brien, Eimear Walsh, Niall Carmody and James O'connor. Indoor Soccer – Our U-13 Soccer team were in action in Listowel on Sunday afternoon playing against more experienced sides were never going to be easy. They put up a great performance in all their matches losing three games by the narrowest of margins. They started to show their skills in the final game, beating Milltown 4-2. They have only been playing together for two weeks, so it was an excellent performance. The squad on the day was – James O'connor, Ciaran Dowd, Sean Hanrahan, Antone O'connor, Denis Heaphy, Keelan Buckley, Gavin Stack, Conor Carmody and super sub Niall O'connor. Art for U-8, U-10. U-12, U-14 and U-16 will take place in GAA Hall on Tuesday 7th February between 6.30 – 7.30pm. Bring your own colours, paper will be provided. Finals will take place in Listowel on Sat March 3rd at 1.00pm. Draughts for U-10. U-12, U-14 will take place in Listowel on Sunday 4th March at 2.00. All children who are picked on each team must attend on that day as if one person fails to attend the rest are unable to take part. Each team consists of 5 players and 2 subs so please contact a member of the committee if you are unable to attend. Under 10 Mixed football will take place on the 4th June and finals on the 7th June.
