St. Patrick's Day Parade: An important meeting regarding the St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place at the White Sands Hotel on Friday, February 3rd at 9 pm. Fáilte roimh chách/all Welcome. Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir. 10K BY THE BAY/5K FUN RUN - An informal running group will meet as of Sunday 5th February, to train on a weekly basis meeting at 11am at the Castle gates. Use it to help you train for the annual Kerryhead/ballyheigue FRC "10k by the bay/5k Fun Run" on Sunday April 1st1 For more information contact 0866021356. DEATH: The death took place during the week of Elizabeth (Lizzie) O'halloran (née Quirke) of Caherulla, Ballyheigue and late of Chapeltown, Fenit. Requiem Mass was on Thursday 26th January and burial afterwards in the Holy Family Cemetery, Ballyheigue. She is survived by her husband, sons, daughters, brothers, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, daughtersin-law, sons-in-law, nephew, nieces and relatives. FUNDRAISING TABLE QUIZ: In aid of Glenderry National School, Ballyheigue on Friday night February 10th at 9.00 p.m. in the White Sands Hotel. Tables of 4 - E20 per table. BADMINTON: Our Club members made a successful trip to the Annual Listowel Tournament last week with Kathleen Gilbride winning the veteran's mixed doubles and also the runner up in the Division 3 mixed doubles. Patsy O'connor was runner up in the veteran's mixed doubles, and Linda Burke won the division 5 Plate Competition. Badminton continues in the Community Centre, Ballyheigue on Mondays and Thursday at 8.30 pm. BINGO: Bingo will resume at the Community Centre on Thursday 2nd February at 8.30 pm. A minibus is available for transport - Contact Patrick on 086-8501816. LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Saturday night's GAA Lotto 1-3-11-21. The Jackpot of E1,350 was not won. Next week's Jackpot will be E1,400. The two E50 winners were Tommy Casey, Dirtane and Flor Casey, Chapel Road, Ballyheigue. The E25 winner was Cathy Murphy, C/o Kirby's Bar. GAA SOCIAL: The Ballyheigue GAA Social will take place on Friday 24th February in the White Sands Hotel. GAA MEMBERSHIP: Club Membership is now due - Senior Players E80, Adults E50, OAP E20. CAMOGIE NEWS: Causeway Camogie Club resumes Activities for 2012 in the Sports Hall and Astro turf every Saturday from 11am to 12noon for all girls aged from 4 to 12 years cost E2. U-14 training continues every Saturday from 5 to 6pm and every Tuesday from 6 to 7 pm in the Astro turf Causeway cost E2.
