DEATH: The death took place during the week of Elizabeth (Lizzie) O'halloran (née Quirke) of Caherulla, Ballyheigue and late of Chapeltown, Fenit. Requiem Mass was on Thursday 26th January and burial afterwards in the Holy Family Cemetery, Ballyheigue. She is survived by her husband, sons, daughters, brothers, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, daughtersin-law, sons-in-law, nephew, nieces and relatives. BADMINTON: Our Club members made a successful trip to the Annual Listowel Tournament last week with Kathleen Gilbride winning the veteran's mixed doubles and also the runner up in the Division 3 mixed doubles. Patsy O'connor was runner up in the veteran's mixed doubles, and Linda Burke won the division 5 Plate Competition. Badminton continues in the Community Centre, Ballyheigue on Mondays and Thursday at 8.30 pm. BINGO: Bingo will resume at the Community Centre on Thursday 2nd February at 8.30 pm.
