Under 15 most improved player was Colm Mccarthy, and Michael O'leary was player of the year, Under 16 awards went to JP Byrne who was the most improved player and Stevie Osullivan was player of the year, Merit Awards went to Schools Coach David Clifford and Mark Callaghan, Presentation went to Joe Dowling for his help with under age, A merit award was presented to the outgoing Secretary Kathleen Hayes for her years service as officer to the Club. All the grandparents were treated to an account of their schooldays on video given by their grand children and also to guess as to each grandparent was from pictures drawn by the schoolchildren. The day finished witha cup of tea and a chat amongst themselves about times past.thanks to the school Secrftary for organising the whole event . Killahan school children aquitted themselves very well in the Clanmaurice Credit Union Quiz on Sunday LAST at Causeway Comp. School Hall COMMUNITY GAMES: On Saturday night last the County Community Games Music Competitions were held in Abbeydorney Community Hall. This year our parish was represented by Adam Maunsell, Ryan Nolan, Susie Rice, Kate Buckley and Keith O' Connor. They played their hearts out on the night and did their parish proud. Huge praise must be given to local Music Teacher, Louise Bunyan for all her time and commitment given to this group, her dedication was second to none.
