The first course in South Kerry for the training of farmers wives in home management, was officially opened by Mr. Tom Cahill, M.C.C. Chairman of the County Committee of Agriculture, in the Ringside Rest, Cahersiveen. The 40 women attending this EEC course went back to school for one day each week over a five-month period. The C.A.O. MG Moyles and 12 of the advisory staff in the county conducted the classes from 10am to 4pm each day.
