FIRST news home from the American travellers on the Dr Crokes' trip is that they were met in New York by Eddie O'Sullivan and after a night's stay they travelled on to Chicago where the welcoming committee was headed by Ulick O'Sullivan, formerly of O'Connell's Terrace.
His mother will be active in London this weekend as chair of the Killarney/London reunion with Laurence O'Donoghue, of New Street, a former player with the club.
The group stayed for two weeks in Chicago and then returned for a final week in New York before returning home on November 3, 1979.
