WITH semester two now underway, societies got back into full swing with many making some exciting plans for the coming months.
Here is just some of what has been happening this week.
LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) Society had a meeting to welcome new members into their society as well as coming up with a plan for this year's Rainbow Week.
Many ideas and plans have been made and all will be revealed closer to the date but they are hoping that this year's Rainbow Week will have a mixture of fun activities as well as seminars and guest speakers. So watch this space.
The Radio Society continued with their successful daily lunchtime broadcasts with a new group of students taking over the Mic for this semester.
Music Society held a meeting to welcome new members and discuss future plans for more open Mic nights and a possible charity event.
Other Societies that started back this week to welcome new members were the Art Society, Net Soc, M.A.G and the Juggling Society. Coming up next week:
Salsa Classes will start again on Thursday, February 4. This class is always a success so make sure to book your place as they are limited (places only available to students of the IT Tralee)
The Yoga Society will meet this week Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime in the North Campus dance studio to begin this semester session.
The Film Society will start back on Monday to discuss upcoming events and different film making projects that are ongoing.
I just want to wish all the societies the best of luck in this semester and I hope it is as successful as semester one.
