Reaching out with music
AN evening of traditional Irish music and song will take place this Friday, January 27, at Mccarthy's Anglers Rest Bar, Finuge, from 9.30pm.
Organised by the North Kerry Reaching Out Group, the evening will feature musicians and singers from the Finuge branch of Comhaltas and a raffle will be held on the night to raise funds for the group.
"The evening is part of our ongoing traditional evenings we have hosted throughout North Kerry since last October, which have proved very successful to date," Chairman of North Kerry Reaching Out Ger Greaney said.
North Kerry Reaching Out was established in August 2011 with the aim of connecting the Irish Diaspora with the parishes and towns in North Kerry which their ancestors left years ago.
