High class show in prospect at the INEC

THE St Patrick's celebrations start early for music fans when the Irish ballad group, The High Kings return to the INEC, Killarney on Saturday, March 13.
With numerous accolades to their name including Best Newcomer and Best Folk Act from the The Irish Music Awards, The High Kings have emerged as a formidable force of the Irish folk music scene.
Following on from the success of their platinum-selling debut album, the band are set to release the follow up album, this month.
This album features well loved ballads, given a High Kings make over. Tracks include, Step It Out Mary, The Green Fields of France, Star of the County Down, and the much anticipated collaboration with the Wolfe Tones, On the One Road.
This album captures the enthusiasm and raw energy displayed at a live show, and reinforces their reputation as Best Folk Act.
Coming from accomplished Musical pedigrees, The High Kings grew up in households soaked in the Irish Musical tradition and each member of the band witnessed first hand the power of wellcrafted Irish music on an audience.
Finbarr Clancy from Carrick-on-Suir, is the son of Bobby Clancy. Bobby joined his brothers Liam, Paddy and Tom in The Clancy major star of the showband era in Ireland in the 1960s. Following in his father's footsteps, Brian has sung all over the world as a featured soloist with Riverdance. He was also one of the Three Irish Tenors, who performed successfully across America.
Darren Holden from Mooncoin in Co. Kilkenny, began his career as a singer/songwriter and has written and performed with some of the world's top songwriters. Holden became a featured vocalist and toured the world with Riverdance for several years before landing the lead role of The Piano Man in the Broadway production of the Billy Joel musical Movin' Out. Renowned for their incredible versatility and skills as multiinstrumentalists, The High Kings bring a rousing acoustic flavour to brand new songs as well as some old favourites.
