Hear the showband hits in the Gleneagle
THE ever popular Keith McDonald and The Showband Show continue to attract music enthusiasts from all over Ireland to The Gleneagle Hotel every Wednesday as part of the summer cabaret.
Performing classic hits from all the old favourites including Sinatra, Dean Martin, Glen Miller, James Last, Cliff, Englebert, Tom Jones, Harry Conick Junior, Fats Domino, Nat King Cole, Barry Manilow, Tony Bennett, Robbie Williams and more, The Showband Show really know how to entertain an audience.
"I like to keep my repertoire as broad as possible with music for all tastes. From jazz to rock'n'roll, jive and waltz to pop - through the 80s and right up to the present day," says Keith.
"I love the big band sound and the great atmosphere generated by that live brass sound - this is what I strive for in our live shows."
Numerous other stalwarts of the Gleneagle Summer Cabaret also return to the legendary Ballroom this August. Gleneagle favourite, Brendan Shine, and his many famous hits including 'Do You Want Your Oul Lobby Washed Down' and 'Shoe The Donkey' takes to the stage every Tuesday night, while the everpopular Lightning Strikes are set to rock audiences every Monday night with their medley of 80s hits. Sunday nights herald the return of Country Sunday with performances by Ireland‚s best country stars.
Irish folk enthusiasts have The Dublin City Ramblers and The Fureys and Davy Arthur to look forward to. While the hit show, Fine Girl Ye Are — a tribute show celebrating the legendary story of The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem, performed by ballad group The Kilkennys continues on select dates throughout August.
