Kennedy lands Kerry post
Wednesday November 04 2009
John Kennedy has been appointed Kerry under-21 football manager.
He spent four years managing the Kerry minors before stepping down in the wake of last August's All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Armagh.
He failed to deliver an All-Ireland title during his time in charge, though he came close in 2006 when the Kingdom lost the All-Ireland final to Roscommon after a replay.
Kennedy will be familiar with most, if not all, of next year's under 21 squad, having already managed them at minor level.
Pat O'Driscoll has been named as Kerry minor manager in succession to Kennedy.
