Charlie Haughey's son-in-law has been hit with a 1.4 million euro bill for unpaid taxes.
John Mulhern, racehorse trainer and retired boss of the Meadow Court Stud, The Curragh, Kildare, was one of the top five biggest settlements on the latest defaulters' list.
Married to the late Taoiseach's daughter Eimear, chairman of bloodstock giant Goffs, Mr Mulhern was hit with the bill for underpaying income tax and capital gains tax.
The leading horse racing figure topped the list along with Gama Construction - the building firm which underpaid hundreds of Turkish workers in 2005 - after it was hit with a tax bill for almost 3 million euro.
The main company owes about 2 million euro while a linked business Gama-Tubin owes about 900,000 euro in unpaid levies and fines.
Other top defaulters included Galway nightclub Central Park, which has a 3.6 million euro tax bill; Robert McChesney, company director of a car dealers in Clontibret, Co Monaghan also with a bill for 3.6 million euro; and three brothers from the Sherry family also Co Monaghan, who had liabilities totalling more than 4.75 million euro from their furniture business.
Rathmoyle Exports from Carbury Kildare, owned by millionaire cattle dealer Noel Carter, was ordered to pay more than 900,000 euro to the Revenue Commissioners.
The Revenue Commissioners said of the 88 published settlements from the last three months of last year 44 were for amounts exceeding 100,000 euro and 14 of those were for more than 500,000 euro.
Inspectors recovered a total of 119.5 million euro in unpaid taxes and fines.
The report also showed 51 people charged with smuggling illegal cigarettes from October to December with one person given a 12-month suspended sentences and 20,000 euro in fines handed out. Four people were charged with selling illegal cigarettes.
